William Carey University hosted a workshop for parents titled, “At Last, Soccer Explained: A Night of Revelation and Education” on August 14 in the Student Conference Center. The event included a meet and greet with WCU soccer players and coaches, a soccer trick demonstration by freshman player Lauri Tuohisto-Kokko of Finland, a forum for questions and answers, and several presentations on various aspects of soccer, from injury prevention to rules of the game. The event was sponsored by Southern Bone and Joint Specialists, Hattiesburg Coca-Cola, Academy Sports, MMI Catering, and Skin Sake Athletic.
