The first Lifetime Achievement Hall of Fame honorees at Pearl River Community College will be inducted on April 19, in ceremonies at Southern Oak Home and Garden in Hattiesburg.
They are:
- Businessman Sidney Malone of Hattiesburg.
- Former Hattiesburg resident Dr. Thomas J. Malone of La Grange, Ga., retired executive vice president of Milliken and Co.
- Sports illustrator Jim McQueen of Hattiesburg, a native of Picayune.
- The late Henry Thomas of Hattiesburg, former director of South Mississippi Electric Power Association.
- Jean Baughman Wessel of Huntsville, Ala., CEO of Wesfam Inc. which operates 27 Burger Kings in Alabama.
The Lifetime Achievement Hall of Fame honors the professional accomplishments of outstanding alumni of Pearl River Community College.
