The following is a press release from Hattiesburg Public Schools:

Captain America, along with the owner of Comics & Stuff in Hattiesburg, came to Woodley's Awards Day for the first nine-weeks on Tuesday.

They had comics for each of the students at Woodley Elementary to help encourage reading and literacy. They also gave out Halloween Trick-or-Treat Safety Tip Sheets for parents.

It was all part of Woodley's celebration of high-achieving students. Students were recognized for perfect attendance, honor roll, and scoring proficient and/or advanced on the state's MCT2 last year.
