PRCC to honor military, civil servants at home game | Sports & Recreation

Pearl River Community College will honor the military and civil servants with special events before the first 2012 home football game on Sept. 13.
Armed Forces/Civil Service Men and Women Night will recognize former and current military and civil service members with a meal, admission to the game against Jones County Junior College and on-field recognition during pre-game ceremonies.
They will be guests at the PRCC Alumni Association’s tailgating fish fry at 6 p.m. on the football practice field. Those participating will be asked to show valid identification and are encouraged to wear uniforms.
Honorees are asked to meet at 6:30 p.m. at the north end zone gate opposite the scoreboard at Dobie Holden Stadium. On-field recognition will be at 6:50 p.m. before the Spirit of the River marching band plays the Star-Spangled Banner.
Alumni with membership cards will also eat free. Cost for PRCC faculty and staff with ID is $5. The general public can eat for $7. There will be no charge for children under age 5.
Kickoff between the PRCC Wildcats and Jones Bobcats will be at 7 p.m.
