Johnson Honored by IHL for Advancing Diversity at Southern Miss | Schools

Dr. Sherita Johnson, associate professor of English and interim director of the Center for Black Studies at The University of Southern Mississippi, was honored recently by the State Institutions of Higher Learning Board for advancing diversity at the University.
Johnson joined nominees from the state's other public insitutions of higher learning in a special ceremony to recognize the 2013 Diversity Educator of the Year. Dr. Kathie Stromile Golden, director of International Programs and professor of Political Science at Mississippi Valley State University, is this year's honoree.
