Title (Max 100 Characters)
University of Southern Mississippi students, faculty and staff are invited to Hattiesburg’s second annual Caerus Mardi Gras Parade, Jan. 31 beginning at 7 p.m. Last year’s parade proved to be a big success and organizers anticipate even more fun for this year’s event.
The parade will begin at the Hillcrest Residence Hall parking lot on the northeast corner of campus, travel down the Highway 49 service road adjacent to the east side of campus (also known as Championship Lane), then east down Hardy Street to 38th Ave., turning right onto 38th Ave. and then turning right onto Montague Street and ending at the intersection with Kay James Drive.
All roads along the parade route will be closed from 6 – 10 p.m. These roads include, but are not limited to, the Highway 49 Service Road next to the Hattiesburg campus going south to Hardy Street; and then 38th Ave. toward Montague Avenue, and then Montague Avenue to Kay James Drive.
