The following is a press release from William Carey University:
William Carey University will hold orientation for all new students, including both freshmen and transfer students, on August 24 in Clinton Gymnasium on the Hattiesburg campus.
Beginning at 8 a.m., residential students will have an opportunity to move into their assigned dormitories and new students will be able to complete registration processes with administrative offices. Orientation registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and will continue until noon.
Orientation will begin at noon in the gymnasium and continue until 4 p.m. for new students. A parent question-and-answer and orientation session will be held from noon until 1 p.m. in the Glass Room of Thomas Business Building.
“Orientation is very important in preparing a student for college life at William Carey,” said director of student activities Emily Sheckells. “Orientation will provide an opportunity for many of us to introduce ourselves as well as share information that can make the educational stay at the university a great success.”
All students who attend orientation will receive a free T-shirt, an information packet, and will be entered for the chance to win a free iPad or one of two Wal-Mart gift cards.
For more information, contact Sheckells at 601-318-6444.
