Pending Board of Trustees approval at the Feb. 5 board meeting, Hattiesburg Public School District hires Tony Vance from Charleston High School as the next head football coach at Hattiesburg High School.
Coach Vance has compiled a record of 60-10 in 5 years as head coach (2008-2012) and two state championship appearances (2011 & 2012) winning it in 2011. His teams were 28-4 over the last two years while averaging over 42 points per game.
Coach Vance has been named Coach of the Year in each of his 5 years as head coach. He recently coached in the Bernard Blackwell All Star Game.
