Dr. Orlando Burt gives WCU Leadership Lecture | People

The following is a preess release from William Carey University:

Dr. Orlando R. Burt, senior pastor of Word of Faith Christian Center in Hattiesburg, was the guest speaker for William Carey University’s Christian Leadership Lecture on Dec. 5 in Smith Auditorium.

Dr. Burt founded the Word of Faith Christian Foundation, a non-profit organization, and from that Word of Faith Christian Academy was established.

Prior to his pastoral calling, Dr. Burt graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and worked in Internal Medicine for 12 years before answering his God-given call to the ministry. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Osteopathic Internist, where he received the distinction as Fellow in 1999. Dr. Burt has also served in his local community as a board member of United Way of Southeast Mississippi, Pine Belt Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army, and Community Bank. Prior to moving to Hattiesburg, he was also on the ministry team at Faith4Life Church, formally known as Word of Faith Christian Center- Jackson.

Dr. Burt and his wife have two children, Erin and Ian.
