Man shot in Hattiesburg, police searching for shooter, urge caution | News
HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM)- Hattiesburg Police are searching for an armed suspect involved in a shooting Friday morning.
A man was shot in the leg around 9:15 a.m. as he was driving near the intersection of Tipton Street and Hall Avenue when a bullet passed through his door. The victim was able to drive to the police department a few blocks away where he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Police are urging residents to stay away from the area.
Police officials said the incident stemmed from an altercation on Thursday night with the victim and the suspects, but no one has been arrested and no warrants have been issued as of yet.
