Raised cross walk, parking garage projects beginning soon on Hattiesburg campus | News
Two projects that will begin Dec. 17 on The University of Southern Mississippi Hattiesburg campus will cause road closures and detours. These projects are slated for completion no later than Jan. 14, 2013.
*The first project will consist of installing a raised cross walk at the corner of Montague and N. 31st Avenue as a part of the new Pedestrian Plaza. This will result in the closing of Montague to thru traffic. Detours around the work area will be in place at Montague and Kay James Drive, and on Golden Eagle at Black and Gold Boulevard.
If entering campus on Golden Eagle Drive, access will be available for parking only on the north end of Joseph Green Hall. There will also be parking adjacent to Chain Technology, Walker Science, Johnson Science Tower, Power House, Thad Cochran Center, and Cook Library. If entering the campus from Montague, there will be access to parking at the Baptist Student Union, International Building lot, Polymer Science reserved parking lot and the Wesley Center.
