More dogs in the Pine Belt area | News
HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM)- If you've noticed a quite bit of more dogs, there's a reason to that.
The Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center hosted the Annual BARK Dog Agility Show.
Participants and their dogs from all over the Southeast came to Hattiesburg to take part in the competition. With four different categories the dogs were able to show their athleticism and their excitement by jumping, weaving through poles, going through tunnels and climbing through planks.
"Just a really fun way to play with your dog, and my dogs absolutely love it," says participant Sally Peters. "After they learn that they were doing this as a sport, their just so excited. Every time we come it's their favorite thing to do."
The dogs were rewarded with plenty of snacks, first through fourth place ribbons, toys and bowls.
