Turtle Creek Mall undergoing facelift | News

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM)- Shoppers at Hattiesburg's Turtle Creek Mall will see some changes in the next few months.

Orange cones and barriers line the hallways, as the mall receives a widespread facelift. A fresh coat of paint, new flooring, and lighting enhancements to the malls skylights are all in the works. The food court is also receiving an extensive renovation.

The malls exterior will see new signage, repaved parking lots, and upgraded entrances. It's all in an effort to increase traffic into the mall.

"We feel like that we are right on the verge of making Turtle Creek Mall the premier shopping destination in Mississippi," said Ted Martin, General Manager of Turtle Creek Mall. "Things are going well enough financially at the mall, sales are up, where they fell like this is the time to make that investment."

The goal is to have all work completed before Black Friday, and the holiday shopping season.
