LAMAR COUNTY (WDAM)- A Lamar County judge denied bond for a 19-year-old Hattiesburg man Tuesday morning.

Judge Bill Anderson refused bond for Cameron Eatmon, who is charged with kidnapping, rape, aggravated assault, and grand larceny. Eatmon, who was originally out on bond on federal charges, has now been charged in connection with last week's rape and kidnapping in Lamar County.

Eatmon was arrested hours after a 21-year-old woman was carjacked at gunpoint at the intersection of Weathersby Road and Oak Grove Road in the pre-dawn hours Friday morning.

Authorities say the woman pulled up behind him at a stop sign. The suspect jumped out of his truck, which deputies say was stolen, and got into the back seat of the car. He forced her to drive at gunpoint to the Trace subdivision where she was raped at a house under construction. She was released on west 4th street, then shot twice in the leg and abdomen. She is listed in stable condition at a Hattiesburg hospital.

Eatmon was already free on $25,000 bond following his federal indictment on charges of stealing weapons and other equipment from an FBI agent's car. He was scheduled for trial next month.
