HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM)- Officials at the Area Development Partnership in Hattiesburg have filed a felony report with the Hattiesburg police department alleging an employee embezzled money from the organization.
An ADP news release says a routine internal audit has uncovered some irregularities in certain accounts. The amount of the loss won't be determined until the investigation is complete, but officials say the loss should be covered by insurance.
According to the police report, the suspect is ADP Vice President of Finance Stacey Stiglets, who has since been terminated. The report says the felony embezzlement consisted of unauthorized charges with a credit card. Stiglets has not been arrested but officials say appropriate action will be taken once the investigation is complete.
