Daylily growers from across the region meet in the Hub City | News
HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM)- Daylily growers from Mississippi, Alabama and other states have spent part of their Memorial Day weekend in Hattiesburg, attending a conference all about those beautiful flowers.
A two-day, Region 14 meeting of the American Hemerocallis Society wrapped up at the Lake Terrace Convention Center Saturday. It brought about 170 people to the Hub City, to learn more about show judging and to view about a half-dozen local gardens filled with plenty of daylilies.
It's the first time in five years that the event has been held in Hattiesburg.
