The Governor’s Job Fair Network and Hol-Mac Corporation will host a job fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Jul. 13 at City Hall in Bay Springs.
The Bay Springs-based company expects to hire nearly 50 workers immediately. Within the next year, the company will likely hire as many as 200 more to fulfill the foreseen position increases.
Hol-Mac is looking for a variety of workers — welders, machinists, manufacturing engineers, paint engineers, packaging engineers, team leaders and others.
Wages for the new jobs can reach $17 an hour and increase depending on experience and skill level. Last year, the company’s welders and fabricators earned an average of $35,000, excluding overtime. Inspectors earned an average of $40,000 a year.
The employee-benefit package includes dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance and paid vacation and holidays, among other perks.

The Governor’s Job Fair Network works with the Mississippi Department of Employment Security to host job fairs across the state. MDES is a federally funded state agency that provides training and job-placement assistance to workers and personnel services to companies.
