Forrest General's Spirit of Women and American Red Cross to offer Babysitting Classes | Events

The following is a press release from Forrest General's Spirit of Women:

Forrest General’s Spirit of Women and the American Red Cross are partnering to offer babysitting classes to teach safe and responsible care for children.

These classes are designed for boys and girls ages 11 to 15. Class participants will learn the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety and safe play, and first aid and is just in time to help teens prepare for summer babysitting jobs.

Classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on June 9 and June 23 at the Spirit of Women Conference Room at 28th Place, located at 421 South 28th Avenue in Hattiesburg. Cost to attend is $85, which includes lunch, an American Red Cross babysitter’s training manual and CD.
