Magazine ranks Southern Miss Business Program among nation’s best | Business
The University of Southern Mississippi’s College of Business has reached an historic milestone with inclusion among the country’s Top-200 undergraduate business programs as ranked by U.S. News & World Report.
The magazine’s 2012 rankings put Southern Miss in elite company. According to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, there are approximately 13,000 business programs worldwide. Of that total only 655 (less than five percent) have qualified for AACSB accreditation. This marks the first time Southern Miss has climbed inside the Top-200 list.
“We are honored that the hard work of our faculty and staff has been recognized yet again by the deans and faculty of AACSB-accredited business schools,” said Dr. Joseph Peyrefitte, interim dean of the College of Business at Southern Miss. “Our placement in the rankings is a testament to the confidence of our peers in the quality of our programs and our commitment to continuous improvement.”
