Saenger Theater hosts Valentine’s Movie Night | Arts & Culture
The following is a press release from the Hattiesburg Saenger Theater:
The Hattiesburg Saenger Theater is excited to offer a ‘not your ordinary night out’ event for couples this Valentine’s Day. On Feb. 14 at 8 p.m., the Saenger will show the classic love story, When Harry Met Sally, complete with a complimentary glass of champagne.
Opening in 1929, the Hattiesburg Saenger Theater originally served as the premiere movie palace, bringing the world of moving pictures to the Pine Belt. With admission at only six cents, audiences were enamored by the massive chandelier the sounds of a 778-pipe Robert Morton organ. Now, more than 80 years later, the Saenger Theater often returns to its movie palace roots to bring films to life on the big screen.
Tickets to the Valentine’s Movie Night are only $5 and may be purchased by calling the Saenger Theater Box Office at 601.584.4888, visiting online at www.HattiesburgSaenger.com or at the door on the evening of the show. The Saenger will also have wine, roses and chocolates available for purchase.
The Saenger Theater is a Hattiesburg Convention Commission Facility. Since 1991, the Hattiesburg Convention Commission has been developing and operating tourism-related facilities for the Hattiesburg area. For more information, visit www.HattiesburgConventionCommission.com.
